PROGRAM GOALS:
The
purpose of this program is to educate students in the specialty of Surgical
Technology as an entry-level Surgical Technologist and promote knowledge based
critical thinking in the safe practice of surgical technology. Upon completion
of all graduation requirements, graduates of this program will receive a
Vocational Certificate in Surgical Technology. Successful completion of the
program will allow graduates to apply to take the national certifying
examination provided all the eligibility requirements currently established are
met.
2007Class started in January 2006 in the lab.
Students attend the May 2006 National AST Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Students raised over $9,000 for travel and tuition. Tracy Stinson ran for
office during the student track.
